Burger Island Richardson: A Flavorful Burger Haven in Texas

The loaded bacon fries were amazing! In fairness, my husband ordered them. However, I did what every good wife does. I ate as many fries as I could. I had to hunt for as many w/o bacon. The seasoning on the fries was delicious. Coupled with melted cheese. The perfect bite to set me back on my diet goals. My husband also enjoyed his chicken Philly. He said the chicken and mushrooms were seasoned so well. That seems to be a theme. Well seasoned food. I had onion rings and a grilled cheese. The onion rings were crispy crunchy deletes. The grilled cheese was good. Nothing special. But not bad. It's just everything else was so delicious!

I love love their burgers and the lunch specials are bomb ! It gives moms and pops. They’re very clean and friendly. Love the service !

Nice and Big Juicy Burgers dripping down the side of your hand. Are you still reading? Go and place your order already!! Our experience was of the Dine-in variety. Burger Island features a walk up counter for order, but they do bring your food to the table. There are lots of ways they can prepare your burger, fries, tots, or sandwich, so we took a few moments to really look the menu over before placing our order. Once the order was placed, they prepared our food fresh. The amount of food was appropriate for pricing structure, and worth every penny. We cut the burgers in half and still needed two hands to hold and eat. They have more than enough burger options to keep us coming back for more, for many years to come. While dinning we noticed how many take out orders kept rolling in, too. This place is clearly a top choice. Try Burger Island the next time you want burgers! Hope your experience is as great as ours.

I’m a longtime Burger Island fan—especially the Abrams location, which always hits the spot. Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered from a different location this time, and the experience was well below what I’m used to. Patty Melt: Arrived as a plain burger on toast, one slice burnt and the cheese barely melted. Sides: Paid $4+ each for a “regular” fry and tater tots, but both were closer to ten-piece samples than full portions. I still believe in Burger Island and will keep visiting Abrams, but this visit was a real let-down. Hope to see more consistency across all locations.

I ordered the Double Deluxe burger. The patties were juicy and cooked perfectly, but they lacked flavor. The bun wasn't toasted long enough, so my burger started falling apart. I tasted more of the tomato and cheese. I'd give my burger a 2/5. The fries were bland and slightly dry. My wife ordered the Jungle Burger and she gives it a solid 4/5. Thanks to all the condiments and sauces that were piled on the Jungle Burger, she said that it gave it flavor, but like my patties, hers was lacking in flavor. As for the onion rings, she said this was probably the best ones she's had in a while, so a 5/5. Overall rating, I gave this place a 4/5. I was happy enough that my burger patties were cooked to medium rare and juicy. I'd definitely give this place another try.

Small burger spot but delivers big! Delicious and high quality burgers and the fries are also seasoned and tasty! Thank you guys! We’ll definitely be back!

First time trying this place out. Had the lunch special which includes fries and a drink. For. 2 people we spent less than 20.00. All food is cooked to order and tasted amazing. We will be back again to try some other things on the menu.
